Process

How we run a project, start to handover.

In short

Every Kryeo engagement runs in four phases (Discover, Architect, Build, and Launch & Scale) over roughly 6 to 12 weeks. You get an architecture brief and a fixed quote in week one, a clickable staging URL by week two, and full ownership of the code, data, and infrastructure at handover.

01

Discover

Week 1

Map the domain, the constraints, and the one metric that matters before any code is written.

We interview the people who own the problem, review the current stack if this is a replatform, and surface the edge cases that usually get discovered halfway through a build. You leave this phase with a written plan and a fixed number, not a mood board.

You get

  • Architecture brief
  • Fixed scope and quote
  • Risk list with mitigations
  • Milestone plan
02

Architect

Week 1–2

Decide the data model, the API contracts, and the infrastructure, and write down why.

We choose boring, proven building blocks (Medusa, Directus, Next.js) and document the trade-offs behind each one so the decision is reviewable a year from now. If you are migrating, the data-migration path is designed here, not improvised later.

You get

  • Data model and ERD
  • API contract (REST / GraphQL)
  • Infrastructure plan
  • Migration plan (for replatforms)
03

Build

Week 2 onward

Short iterations against a staging environment you can click through from day one.

You get a weekly demo and a changelog, not a status update. Work lands as small, reviewable pull requests against a typed codebase, with tests where they earn their keep. The repositories are in your name from the first commit, so there is never a moment where the code is not yours.

You get

  • Clickable staging URL by week two
  • Weekly demo and changelog
  • Source in your repositories from commit one
  • Test suite for the paths that matter
04

Launch & Scale

Final week, then handover

Cutover, monitoring, and a handover that actually transfers the knowledge.

We run the production cutover, wire up monitoring and alerts, and then document the architecture and walk your team through it. After that you run it, with any Next.js developer, not only us. Keep us on a retainer if it helps; not because you are locked in.

You get

  • Production cutover
  • Monitoring and alerting
  • Architecture docs and runbook
  • Handover walkthrough
  • Optional support retainer

Constant throughout

The things that do not change between phases.

You can see it

A real staging URL from week two and a demo every week. Progress is something you click through, not a percentage in a slide.

You own it

Repositories, database, and hosting are in your name from the first commit. Nothing we build lives on a platform we control.

It is written down

Every architectural decision has a recorded reason. The system is documented as it is built, not reconstructed at the end.

FAQ

Questions about working together

Most engagements run 6 to 12 weeks from kickoff to launch. Discover and Architect take one to two weeks combined; Build is four to eight weeks depending on scope; Launch and handover take about a week. A small, well-scoped change to an existing system can be much faster.
