Mobile App Development

In short

Kryeo builds cross-platform mobile apps with React Native and Expo. One codebase ships to iOS and Android, shares types and logic with your Next.js backend, and updates over the air. We handle store submission, and you own the code.

Kryeo builds cross-platform mobile apps with React Native and Expo. One codebase ships to iOS and Android, shares types and logic with your web stack, and updates over the air. We handle store submission; you own the code.

What this stack is

The advantages that matter for most apps:

  • One codebase, two platforms: iOS and Android from the same source, with platform-specific code only where the design or behaviour genuinely differs.
  • Shared logic with the web: the same types, API clients, and business rules used by your Next.js app, in shared packages.
  • Over-the-air updates: JavaScript and asset changes reach users without a store review.
  • A large hiring pool: React developers can contribute to the app, and the app team can contribute to the web.

When to go native instead

React Native is not always the answer. A native build in Swift or Kotlin is the right call when:

  • The app is built around platform-specific capability, such as advanced camera work, ARKit, widgets, or deep OS integration.
  • It is graphics- or computation-heavy in a way that a JavaScript bridge would bottleneck.
  • The team is already native and the app is platform-specific by design.

We build native too (see iOS app development), and we will recommend it when it is the better fit.

What Kryeo delivers

  • The app: the screens, navigation, offline behaviour, and device integrations your product needs.
  • Shared packages: types, validation, and API logic used by both mobile and web.
  • Push notifications, deep links, and analytics.
  • The build and release pipeline: EAS builds, over-the-air update channels, and CI.
  • Store submission: listings, review compliance, signing, and the accounts set up in your name.
  • Handover: repositories, credentials, documentation, and a walkthrough.

How we work

We prototype the core flow on a device early, because a mobile interaction that reads well in a mockup can feel wrong in the hand. From there it is short iterations against a build you can install, the same way we work on the web.

FAQ

Mobile App Development: common questions

React Native for most business and commerce apps: one codebase for both platforms, a shared language with your web stack, and a large hiring pool. Native (Swift or Kotlin) when the app is built around platform-specific capability, heavy graphics, or performance that a bridge would bottleneck. We build both and will tell you which your app needs.
